November 2007—The Kiev State Rada (equivalent to our State Congress) voted to approve the Village Project as submitted by GHT.

November 2007—Nita and Valentina made a trip to Germany to meet with four organizations from Norway and Germany to acquire wheelchairs and other mobility aids.

December 2007—The Volunteer Program was inaugurated with 10 volunteers from four churches. They will make home visits to help the handicapped with cooking, cleaning, painting, repairs, shopping, running errands or just providing a listening ear.

January 2008—Rotary Club announced the donation of 220 new wheelchairs from the Wheelchair Foundation to GHT.

March 2008—Nita returns to Ukraine!

                    —Shipment of blankets received from "The Noble Ministry". These blankets are given to our disabled people upon delivery of a wheelchair or other mobility aid.

April 2008—Support groups for Caregivers of stroke victims initiated. Sherry Shaffer came from California to lead the first groups.

                    —First shipment arrives from our friends in Norway, NY Start. The shipment contained wheelchairs, walkers, clothing, hospital beds and much more.

                    —First shipment arrives from Germany with 35 wheelchairs, 48 walkers, replacement wheels for our used wheelchairs, and much more. The shipments from both Norway and Germany are a result of Nita's trip to Germany in Nov. '07.

We are very excited about these new connections with Europe.

May 2008— 8 new volunteers train from our local churches trained and sent out to minister to our disabled community. Many of our disabled families are calling the office and asking, "where is our volunteer?" We pray that this program will grow more and more as Nita goes out to speak in the local churches.

                    —Ottar Hay and his collegue, Haavald, of NY Start, Norway visit God's Hidden Treasures! Discussion were held on how they can expand their shipments to us.

June 2008— Amy Goad arrives from Randolph, New Jersey for a 2 week mission trip. Her goal is to access whether she will return to work with God's Hidden Treasures for 1 year. Amy has just graduated with her Master's Degree in Special Education.

                    —Mission team from "The Sending Place" arrives June 20th to put on our 5th annual camp for disabled children.
